The leadership of Hamas held meetings with US envoy Jared Kushner along with other regional intermediaries in Egypt to discuss the implementation of the US-led peace roadmap in Gaza, which includes the transfer of power from the organization to a national committee and ensuring the continuation of the ceasefire. In these discussions, Hamas asked the intermediaries to ensure that Israel meets its commitments regarding the roadmap in light of the continuous Israeli attacks and violations despite the existence of the ceasefire. Although the US is in constant communication to implement the roadmap, which requires Hamas to disarm and for Israeli troops to withdraw, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the roadmap.
